Product Overview
This 1.2mm blue textile-backed silicone membrane is a high-elongation elastic fabric with a synthetic-fiber textile backing and a silicone coating on one face, engineered for dynamic sealing in environmental testing chambers and vacuum conformation in thermal transfer manufacturing. It functions as a flexible physical barrier capable of continuous mechanical deformation and recovery across temperature fluctuations.
2. Core Applications
-
Environmental Testing (Combined Test Chambers & Vibration Tables): Utilized as a flexible interface seal, boot, or buffer diaphragm connecting the vibration shaker to the environmental chamber body. It moves with the shaker while helping keep the test space enclosed.
-
Vacuum Thermal Transfer Processes: Operates as the elastic pressure-conforming layer in vacuum transfer and sublimation equipment. The material elongation allows the membrane to wrap tightly around irregular or curved profiles, distributing vacuum pressure evenly across the workpiece surface to prevent air pockets.

The 0.6 mm grade stretches with less force; the 1.2 mm grade has a greater overall thickness. The right choice depends on movement range, clamping method and temperature cycle, so we recommend comparing both swatches on your equipment.
